Despite a number of very close matches and a strong effort from the Drexel wrestlers, Penn took victories in the next four weight classes. Senior Brandon Palik earned a 3-2 win in his last regular season match of his career to cut Penn's lead to 18-10. Joseph Giorgio also put in a strong showing at heavyweight, but Penn's Steven Graziano prevailed in sudden victory, 5-3. After a one team point deduction for unsportsmanlike behavior, Penn ultimately won the dual, 20-10.
The Dragons will return to action when they compete in the EIWA Tournament beginning on March 8. The squad will travel down 33rd street to the Palestra, where this year's conference tournament is being hosted.
