Philadelphia, Pa. - The Drexel wrestling team fell to Army in what was a very close 20-19 dual meet on homecoming weekend at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Sunday night. The Dragons move to 4-13 overall and 0-4 in conference action, while the Black Knights improve to 7-3, 6-3 EIWA.<br />

The Dragons got out to a strong start, with Tanner Shoap winning by forfeit and Kevin Devoy Jr picking up a 9-1 major decision at 133 to put Drexel ahead 10-0. David Pearce lost a close 6-2 decision at 141 but Matthew Cimato followed with a strong 4-0 victory at 149. The Black Knights retaliated with an 8-5 decision at 157 and a major decision in the 165 match to come within three points, cutting the Drexel lead to 13-10. At 174, Army picked up a major decision over Kevin Matyas to go ahead 14-13.<br />

The Black Knights added another win at 184 as Drexel freshman Alex DeCiantis dropped a 6-2 decision, increasing Army's lead to 17-13. Bryan Sternlieb came out for the Dragons at 184 and put up a strong showing but ultimately lost a 4-0 decision. Brandon Palik finished the night out with a first period win-by-fall at 285, but it was not quite enough to put the Dragons past Army.<br />

The squad returns to the DAC on Saturday night as they host Duke at 7:00 p.m.<br />
